The Las Vegas Philharmonic, with David Itkin as the music director and conductor, paired with the Las Vegas Master Singers and director Dr. Jocelyn K. Jenson to present an outstanding musical experience. The solos featured local performers with incredible professional biographies. Joan Sobel (soprano), Lynnette Chambers (mezzo soprano), Larry Wayne Morbitt (tenor), and Derrick Davis (baritone) were all marvelous and provided a wide vocal range. Together, they created a remarkable performance. The third and season's final pops concert presented on March 26, 2011 at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas was billed as Pops III: An Evening with Rodgers and Hammerstein. The concert was divided into two parts with an intermission.

Before the music began, Maestro Itkin made a series of remarks about the upcoming 2011-2012 season. The season will be a split one, as the Philharmonic will enter its new home The Smith Center in March of 2012. The new venue, a long-awaited addition to Las Vegas, was worth the advertisement, and the upcoming season should prove to be worthy of the new performing arts center.
