The US Open begins play August 30th in Flushing Meadows, New York and for the first time in over 30 years there will be no American tennis player ranked in the top 10 of the world tennis rankings. Andy Roddick fell out of the top ten this week and is now ranked 11th in the world.
The United States men's tennis hopes will not only fall on Andy Roddick this year at the US Open. John Isner, although a huge long shot to make the semi-finals, let alone win the 2010 US Open, may be the only hope for the Americans. The following odds are from the Las Vegas Hilton Superbook and are current as of August 8th, 2010.
John Isner 60-1 to Win US Open
John Isner is coming off a second round knockout in the Leggs Mason Classic in Washington. Isner made the finals in Atlanta and lost. Isner heavy handed shot and work ethic can get him deep into the US Open but he must be able to put all his tools together at once to win the US Open. Place a very small bet on Isner to win US Open.
